THE GUM BALL GETS BIGGER WITH SECOND ROUND ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT FOR 2017

Boutique three-day camping festival The Gum Ball is returning this year for its 12th instalment, and is pleased to announce another impressive round of artists to complete it’s stellar musical program in 2017.

The Dashville team has continued its legacy of thoughtfully chosen acts, both new and legendary, across a multitude of genres.The second round announcement for 2017 includes:

With great pleasure, the Dashville teamwelcomes backKIM CHURCHILL.Kim performed at The Gum Ball back in 2009. Since then his profile as a songwriter and performer has grown exponentially. Now performing headline shows across the planet, he’s played renowned festivals such as Glastonbury and Falls,and touredwithBilly Bragg andNhako& Medicine For The People, to name a few.Kim is an incredible performer, with a stunning new record in the works.Accompanied by his full band,expect to hear some new material during Kim’s triumphant return to the venue.

THE FUNK HUNTERS are fast becoming one of Canada’s biggest funk DJ exports, becoming a staple of dance festivals around the globe. They recently toured with Jurassic 5 legend Chali 2na, following their successful single collaborations on ‘Word to Spread’ and ‘Get Involved’. The two members of The Funk Hunters are masters of old-school turntable mixing.

Weddings, Parties, Anything frontman and songwriter MICK THOMAS will visit The Gum Ball accompanied by backing band The Roving Commission, performing a selection of classics from his solo and “Weddos” records.

The Gum Ball also welcomes the voice of The Cat Empire, FELIX RIEBL, who will perform with his full live band in support of recent solo record Paper Doors.

The second round includes some serious rock in the form of HITS and The Go Set, fresh Australian shoegaze from Melbourne’s Flyying Colours, rising sultry chanteuse and former Sietta voice Caiti Baker, dream pop group Shining Bird, mesmerising folk singer and Dashville Skyline stand-out Irish Mythen and smooth, jazz-soul group The Meltdown.

The Gum Ball is a BYO all age camping festival, thatalso includes an array of amazing gourmet food and markets, licensed bar precinct, popular late night silent disco, a night time kids crèche, various workshopsand activities, morning yoga, pro skater demosand live artworks.

Tickets are on sale and selling quickly. Adult, pensioner, teenager, youth and child tickets remain. Full weekend and Saturday only tickets are still available, with an option to include a special Sunday night wind-down as an extra add on. Limited tickets remain for the Sunday evening.
