Kylie Auldist ride continues

Kylie Auldist’s ride continues with two international collaborations just released

Award-winning singer/songwriter Kylie Auldist is cementing her name on the world stage as Australia’s go-to girl for soul anthems.

Following on from last year’s successful fourth solo album Family Tree, Kylie is back in the booth and lending her titanic vocals and co-writing prowess to ‘Ride Of Your Life‘ for UK house DJ/producer Marc Vedo.

Kylie’s echoey voice soars over a strong summery beat, making the track a must-have on any party playlist – from the beach to the dance floor. Reverb heavy and dripping in Miami pool party vibes, Vedo’s single perfectly utilises Kylie’s modern soul style.

The collaboration is a debut single on the Sony Music Entertainment label for the Bristol-based Vedo, who is known for being the founder of the legendary club night & music enterprise Koolwaters and making music with Boy George.

Of the single, Vedo says “it was always meant to be a summer song and then I heard Kylie Audlist on Kungs vs. Cookin’ on 3 Burners ‘This Girl’ and we asked her if she wanted to get on board with the project. She loved it, we met up in Bristol when she was over on tour and the rest is history. It was weird as the day we met up to have a coffee, she went to #1 in the UK that day!”

Meanwhile, Kylie has been busy working with UK artist Tony Cannam, collaborating on a new track for his Soulnaturals project titled ‘You Make Me Feel Like I Can Change The World‘.

The energetic number is the lead single from Soulnaturals forthcoming studio album Love Says Yes! and is yet another example of how powerful and gutsy a guest vocalist Kylie can be. Music news website soulandjazzandfunk.com says the collaboration “is as raw a slice of contemporary Northern soul as you can get” and that “visitors to this website will know that Ms Auldist nails the vocals. Classy and passionate… as ever!”.

With a throbbing funk, soul and disco scene both here and in the UK, Kylie spent much of 2016 touring, and is no stranger to international critical acclaim.

Her collaborative song ‘This Girl’ with hard hitting Hammand Organ Trio Cookin’ On 3 Burners reached #1 in the French singles charts thanks to a catchy remix by twenty-year-old producer Kungs. It went to #1 in Germany, France and Portugal, #2 in several other European countries and reached the top slot on the iTunes charts in Britain. Dubbed the song of the European summer, it’s on rotation on countless commercial radio stations and was nominated for best song at the recent ARIAs.

In November 2016, Kylie was signed on with esteemed UK label Freestyle Records and made it first position on the track list of the Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club 4th compilation album with ‘Family Tree‘. Last weekend Kylie played at the annual Riverboats Music Festival in Echuca, and this Saturday 25 February she will perform the last installment of her February residency at Melbourne’s The Night Cat with a lively set from 12pm-3am.
