NAS AND THE SOUL REBELS MAKE HISTORY AT BLUESFEST 2017!

When hip hop icon Nas takes the stage with The Soul Rebels on Thursday 13 April, it will be only the second time this momentous collaboration has ever occurred, and the first time outside of the USA.  The only performance to date occurred at the legendary Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival in 2016 and garnered stellar reviews, such as:

“it was no secret that Brooklyn was the most amped to see the headliner, Nas. Backed by Soul Rebels band, the self-proclaimed God’s Son stormed the stage to “Get Down.” Mr. Jones didn’t let up, after that. He rolled through classics like “N.Y. State of Mind,” “The World Is Yours,” “Memory Lane,” “Life’s a Bitch,” and “Halftime.”…Fans, young and old, gleefully and emotionally mouth every word. For the next hour, it was nothing but excitement, love, social awareness and admiration.”- Vibe

There is only one place in Australia you can catch this once in a life time event and it’s exclusively at Bluesfest.

Thursday night is stacked with massive talent including Patti Smith and Her Band performing Horses, Courtney Barnett, Vintage Trouble, Gallant, Eric Gales and Corinne Bailey Rae. Tickets are flying out the door so organisers advise getting yours while they are still available.

Bluesfest is a five day music festival held over Easter each year. This year it begins on Thursday 13 April and runs to Monday 17 April at the beautiful Tyagarah Tea Tree farm, 10 minutes outside Byron Bay. Renowned for its peaceful, friendly vibe, the event is popular with music lovers of all ages, who enjoy 12 hours of music on five stages, fantastic food from around the world and a plethora of market stalls.

All 5, 3 & 1 day festival and camping tickets are currently on sale through www.bluesfest.com.au or by phoning the Bluesfest office on 02 6685 8310 but will be taken off sale next week at the latest.
