Today marks the release of singer-songwriters Felicity Urquhart and Josh Cunningham’s highly anticipated third studio album, Everything Around You via ABC Music. Recently nominated as Group/Duo of The Year for the 2026 Golden Guitar Awards, this ARIA-nominated, three-time Golden Guitar-winning duo return with another compelling collection of songs. Blending Blues, Roots, Folk, and Country, Everything Around You finds Felicity and Josh charting a course towards connection, resilience, and joy. Produced by Felicity, Josh, and Matt Fell, the album was recorded across multiple studios – Birdsong Studio (Central Coast), Wilder Studio (TAS), and Fireswamp Studio (Blue Mountains).
As Felicity and Josh told Rhythms in a feature interview in the latest issue, the album is shaped by an awareness of the world’s heaviness – but it refuses to stay there. “There’s no end of struggle. You can see that everywhere you look,” Cunningham says, before drawing a clear line. “But I think it’s important not to let that overwhelm the wonder and the beauty that still exists in the world.” For the pair, hope isn’t passive optimism. It’s something you actively defend. “You really got to fight to kind of stake your claim on those things and make your focus around that and maximize it as much as you can, and try to share those things with other people,” he says. Music, they agree, is the most natural way they know how to do that. “Thankfully, music is a really powerful way of experiencing wonder and beauty and sharing it with the world.”
