P.C & THE BIFFS PREMIERE VIDEO FOR “DEADMANS BONES” AHEAD OF BRISBANE SINGLE LAUNCH

The latest single by P.C. & The Biffs “Deadman’s Bones” was released earlier this month and the Brisbane based super-group have just dropped this energetic video which Rhythms are proud to be premiering ahead of the their hometown launch at The Triffid tomorrow night (21st April). The video captures P.C & The Biffs doing what they do best – performing live on the stage at the iconic Leftys Old Time Music Hall. Watch it in full below.

Deadmans Bones is a redemption anthem of sorts as front man Pete Cullen explains – “If you have ever been outlawed, downtrodden, kicked out, ripped off, told you would never amount to anything, been treated like you don’t exist or simply been told in a manner of words that you are a no good son of a bitch, well now you have a redemption anthem.” Like a good old fashion western movie, “Deadman’s Bones” is about climbing a steep dark mountain in a storm and surviving God’s wrath when even the devil wasn’t brave enough to leave hell. It’s about being out numbered in a gunfight, but with composure, and a glint in the eye, taking out the villains one by one.” It’s about riding back into town at sunset after victory, staring the nay-sayers in the eye.

P.C & The Biffs formed in 2014 when Songwriter Pete Cullen (The Daybridges, Rockwiz), Rupert Jenner and Matt Eves when asked to do a impromptu show at the iconic Brisbane venue Leftys Old Time Music Hall.  One of the punters on the night described their performance as “like being punched in the face by some good ol’ Rock ‘N’ Roll”. From there The Biffs were born. Their common love of Old Time Country, 1950s Rhythm & Blues, Rock ’N’ Roll, and 1960s soul were the foundation blocks in forming. When Cullen asked long time mate Damon Joel (Busby Marou, Sahara Beck) to join them on drums the band took on the persona of a 1970’s super group.

2017 is set to be busy year for songwriter Pete Cullen as he is releasing two albums side-by-side in August – P.C. & the Biffs’, ‘One Way In’ and a solo album under his own name called ‘No Way Out’.

As mentioned above you can catch P.C And The Biffs launching their single this Friday at The Triffid in Brisbane on April 21st as a part of Wide Open Road A Celebration Of Australian Music. For more info and to purchase tickets click here
