PREMIERE: Little Wise announces ‘Rhythms Magazine Proudly Presents: Tasmania Winter Sojourn Tour’

Little Wise is excited to announce ‘Rhythms Magazine Proudly Presents: Tasmania Winter Sojourn Tour’ this July. Melbourne songwriter Little Wise, AKA Sophie Klein, will be bringing her band on across the Bass Strait for a run of Wintery shows at some of Tasmania’s best venues in Launceston, Sheffield, Bridport and Hobart.

Fresh off her recent Melbourne show highlights including a residency at The Retreat and launches at Bella Union, Some Velvet Morning and Northcote Social Club, Little Wise is in fine form and ready to share her infectious tunes with Tasmanian audiences. Her conversational lyrics and gentle rolling rhythms combine classic storytelling with a contemporary style, making her a darling of Australia’s thriving folk and Americana scene.

Little Wise will be road-testing brand new material yet to be recorded, plus playing songs off the recent LP ‘Silver Birch’ (’16) and other back catalogue favourites from her earlier EPs ‘Sweet Rain Falling’ (’14) and ‘Moments of Clarity’ (’12). ‘Silver Birch’ has been heralded as “sweetly emotive and unmistakably thoughtful” (Happy Magazine). This collection of exquisitely crafted songs explores Klein’s story in a deeply personal and honest way. The album won ‘Best Debut Release’ in the Rhythms Magazine Writers’ Poll, received national airplay on triple j, ABC Radio National and Double J and is prized by community broadcasters.

Backing Little Wise onstage is her charismatic live band, featuring adored songwriter Rosie Burgess moonlighting on bass guitar, while Pam Zaharias brings her distinctive drumming to lift the music to even greater heights. In celebration of the upcoming tour, Little Wise has treated her fans to electrifying live video-footage from her Melbourne album Launch at Bella Union. Don’t miss Little Wise on the road in our Southern State this winter.
