Getting back out on the road is really what SA’s The Yearlings are all about. Kicking of their first headline tour in Melbourne since launching the latest record All The Wandering, this run of shows will see them in intimate duo mode. Since they met back in 2000, Robyn Chalklen and Chris Parkinson have been making music that exudes raw beauty, honesty, intimacy and passion.
Having made numerous festival appearances across Australia and internationally, supports include Steve Earle, The Punch Brothers and Justin Townes Earle. The Yearlings give a new strain of acoustic music, distilling Americana alt country through the filter of distinctly Australian life.
Joining them on this run of shows is indie-folk troubadour Mel Parsons, hailing from NZ she’s made her home out of hotel rooms and a suitcase, touring wool sheds and festival stages around the world.
