A Day On The Green are very excited to announce a 6-date, national, all-outdoor, summer tour with The Teskey Brothers, returning for a very special homecoming tour – and bringing together some of their favourite international and Australian guests for the tour.
For their first headline A Day On The Green tour, the soulful siblings are bringing along beloved US indie rockers Band Of Horses; Americana, folk and roots artist from Nashville, Sierra Ferrell; the Australian debut of country music’s latest disruptor, Irish singer-songwriter CMAT; and Australian singer and multi-instrumentalist Charlie Needs Braces.
They are an incredible Australian music success story, both here and overseas, and one of Australia’s greatest musical exports. They’ve performed at Glastonbury, Austin City Limits, Bluesfest, Bonnaroo and Fuji Rock, have performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and last year performed with Bruce Springsteen. They have sold out shows everywhere they go – around Australia and around the world.
The rest of the year sees the band touring extensively throughout North America, UK and Europe, as well as playing some huge festivals overseas.
The songwriting partnership of Sam and Josh Teskey was recently recognised with The TeskeyBrothers winning the prestigious Songwriter of the Year award at last month’s APRA Music Awards.
These will be The Teskey Brothers’ only Australian shows on this tour.
The five-time ARIA winners will be joined by an array of hand-picked international and Australian special guests for this exclusive run of outdoor shows for A Day On The Green.
