Raise Your Hands from the album Faithful Satellite
The Black Sorrows are pleased to present their new video “Raise Your Hands” the next single from the album Faithful Satellite. Vika and Linda Bull’s sin defying vocals feature on the track that Joe Camilleri describes as “rockabilly meets Baptist gospel”. Also featuring Eamon Mcnelis on hell-raising trumpet.
The video is the creative vision of veteran cinematographer, Susan Stitt ACS and Sydney post-production house Heckler. Susan’s interpretation of Nick Smith’s lyrics is multi-layered, exciting and message driven.
The Black Sorrows are also pleased that Vika and Linda will join the band on the APIA tour in May/June. It was Peter Luschcome (Rockwiz/ Sorrows drummer) who first suggested Vika and Linda to Joe Camilleri and 1988 they became part of The Black Sorrows line-up and toured the world performing the classic songs Never Let Me Go and Chained to the Wheel that are now radio staples. In 1994 the sisters forged their own successful recording career as a powerhouse vocal duo. Since then, Vika and Linda have only occasionally joined The Black Sorrows on stage…and when they do…well it’s a pure nostalgic musical moment and audiences love it.
