WOMADelaide has today released the first lineup of the 2018 festival, announcing 18 international and Australian artists.
Amongst the 18 are Anoushka Shankar, Rodrigo y Gabriela, and Dan Sultan.
The festival will also host the Australian premiere of Havana Meets Kingston featuring Sly & Robbie.
WOMADelaide direction Ian Scobie, AM, elaborated on the news in the announcement:
“We are thrilled to be announcing this line-up of such amazingly talented and original artists for next year’s festival. These artists – and the many more yet to be announced – represent some of the world’s most dynamic musical traditions, all excitingly reinvented and celebrated”.
WOMADelaide will be held from 9-12 March next year (2018) in Adelaide, South Australia.
