Rob Potts, music industry veteran, passes away

Rob Potts

Music industry veteran Rob Potts has passed away.

Potts has been remembered as a ‘pioneer of the Country Music industry’.

In a statement on his passing released by Chugg Entertainment, Potts was remembered for his tireless work and for how he “single-handedly opened the door for the biggest international country music artists to find a welcoming home in Australia.”

Rhythms Editor and Australian Country Music Star Catherine Britt worked with Potts, and fondly remembers their time together:

“A very sad day indeed…. Rob Potts was one of the first people to believe in my music and get right behind me. Not only was he my agent for many years, he got me signed to RCA Records in Nashville at the age of 17 and was a very dear friend of mine and someone I hugely respect. RIP Rob Potts, gone way too soon!”

The Rhythms Team is saddened by the loss and extends their condolences to family and friends.
