This February, Love Police introduces and welcomes three Americana newcomers to Australia: S.G. Goodman, Willi Carlisle and Tommy Prine, supporting Tyler Childers across the country and playing their own headline shows.
Kentucky native S.G. Goodman and her band to Australia finally make their way to Australia for the very first time. Born and raised along the Mississippi River Delta S.G. Goodman will share her otherworldly sounding voice with local audiences, which soars above a sonic blend of gritty guitars, bottomland grooves and plaintive balladry.
Her new album Teeth Marks puts love on a pedestal. You wanna know what love is, then we suggest you dive deep into S.G. Goodman’s music to experience its psychological and physical imprint, its light and its darkness, and sometimes, maybe most times, a soothing feeling of nostalgia.
Raised in a strict church going family of crop farmers, S.G. Goodman’s music taps into confessional country rocking, stemming from her roots and into a solid American pie with slices of punk, indie-rock and soul-stirring rock’n’roll.
