The Pleasures don’t pull any punches on their long-awaited second album, Enemy of My Enemy, released this week. The record sees the band in full flight—trading verses, swapping stories, and sparking off each other across a collection that’s soulful, raw, and brimming with grit and heart.
Fronted by Catherine Britt and Lachlan Bryan, two distinctive voices in Australia’s Americana and roots music, The Pleasures lean into their trademark chemistry—equal parts tension, charm, and undeniable magnetism. With Brad Bergen on drums and Damian Cafarella on bass, the powerhouse quartet continue carving their own path, unapologetic and unrelenting.
The album launches with its title track and lead single, a riff-heavy anthem that, as Bryan explains, “set the tone for how this record was made.” Recent singles “Where The Money Goes”, “Let’s Go Again”, and “Was It Something I Said?” have already gained national airplay on ABC Radio and community stations, while building international momentum on U.S. Americana radio and attracting glowing reviews in the UK.
