Singer-songwriter and New York Times bestselling author and provocateur Amanda Palmer returns to Australia for her first ever ‘An Evening With Amanda Palmer’ styled national tour, performing at Her Majesty’s Theatre from 24 & 25 February as part of Adelaide Fringe.
Following a tumultuous period of change including the birth of her son, the tragic deaths of close friends, a record-breaking Kickstarter campaign, and the release of her memoir The Art of Asking, Palmer’s provocative art is captivatingly earnest and subversive as ever. Reaffirming her title as the queen of punk cabaret, Palmer’s love affair with Australia continues as she takes the stage alone; journeying from musical beginnings and fan favourites through to the next surprising chapter.
Piano Is Evil is Amanda’s new album, made possible by over 8,500 people supporting Amanda via Patreon, the new crowd-funding/subscription service she uses to help propel the creation of her art. In advance of its public release in mid-2017, Piano Is Evil will be exclusively available only at her live shows on the Australian tour.
