Premiering on Rhythms Mag, Margaret River’s Blue Child Collective have shared their lively new video for fresh single Wake Up To The Sound ahead of a 6000km regional road trip for 11 West Australian shows. After a well-received 14 date tour of New Zealand and a mammoth 20 date run around Australia in support of previous single Wattle Tree Corroboree, the band are gearing up for the release of their fourth album later this year.
Fronted by Dan White, BCC showcases some of the country’s finest musicians: Charles Wall – Xavier Rudd, Bobby Alu; OJ Newcomb – Band Of Frequencies; Ken Allars – Caravana Sun; PaulieB – The Beautiful Girls and long-time air compressor/saxophonist Lindsay Baker.
Wake Up To The Sound will build upon the success of third record Saturn Saw The Seaside, that saw the Collective knock out over 200 shows across AU/NZ since its release in September 2016. With recent airplay on triple j’s Roots N’ All and having been identified as key movers and shakers in the #cultureofconnection movement, we’re sure to hear a lot more from Blue Child Collective in the near future.
