The Byron Bay Bluesfest has released its first artist announcement for the 2018 festival.
Gracing the stages of the 29th Bluesfest will be Robert Plant and The Sensational Space Shifters, Lionel Richie, The John Butler Trio, and Tash Sultana – just to name a few.
Peter Noble, Bluesfest Director, elaborated further in the announcement:
Well here it is, the first of our announcements for Bluesfest 2018, and what an announcement it is! Lionel Richie, Robert Plant, The New Power Generation, CHIC featuring Nile Rodgers, Jose Gonzalez, First Aid Kit plus two of Australia’s greatest artists The John Butler Trio and Tash Sultana, who is on fire right now.
There is lots more from Morcheeba, the amazing Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real! Eric Gales and the California Honeydrops returning by popular demand from the last festival. We have lots of Blues in this announcement too….and we are just getting started. We are going to have a great festival in 2018! Hope to see you there.
The festival will take place over the 2018 Easter long weekend (Thursday March 29 through to Monday April 2).
