Describe your music.
19-Twenty are a high-energy blues and roots band who storm the stage like a freight train. With a sound that blends foot-stomping rhythms, raw energy, and an undeniable sense of fun, 19-Twenty has quickly earned a reputation as one of the country’s most exhilarating live acts

What inspires you to write a song?

When it comes to songwriting, my inspiration often comes from a blend of personal experiences and the world around me. I draw deeply from my own life—emotions, relationships, and significant moments all shape the themes and lyrics of my songs. Reflecting on these experiences helps me capture genuine feelings and connect with others on a personal level. Observations of the world also play a crucial role. Social issues, current events, and the beauty of everyday life provide a wealth of material. I find that the complexities and stories of the world offer rich narratives and emotional depth for songwriting. Additionally, the stories and experiences of the people I encounter often spark new ideas. Sometimes, a conversation or an encounter with someone can lead to a lyrical concept or a melody that resonates. Ultimately, it’s a combination of these influences—personal reflections, observations of the world, and the stories of those around me—that fuels my creativity and drives me to write songs.
