To bookend a huge year of celebrations, commemorating the Mushroom Group’s 50th anniversary, Mushroom 50 Live is a celebration of the iconic music company that will feature over twenty artists performing 50 songs for 50 years.
The line-up includes: Paul Kelly, Ross Wilson, Hunters and Collectors, Jimmy Barnes, Ian Moss, Diesel, Dan Sultan, Tesky Brothers, Vika & Linda, Amy Shark, Birds of Tokyo and many more to be announced.
Artists will perform a mix of originals and classic songs, hand-selected from the revered Mushroom catalogue including anthems such as ‘Working Class Man’, ‘Holy Grail’, ‘Sweet Disposition’, ‘Riptide’, ‘Hoops’, ‘It’s Only the Beginning’, ‘Before Too Long’, and ‘Living In The 70’s.
Mushroom love a good party. In 1983, Mushroom hosted its 10th birthday bash with the Mushroom Evolution Concert at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, followed years later by the Mushroom 25 Live concert at the MCG in 1998 – at the time the largest ever ticketed concert in Australian music history, with 73,000 people in attendance.
Mushroom 50 Live will be a one night only event, held on Sunday 26 November, at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne.
The Telstra Plus presale commences Friday 13 October, 2:00pm AEDT, before the Frontier Touring members presale kicks off Monday 16 October, 1:00pm AEDT. General public on sale is Wednesday, 18 October, 3:00pm AEDT via ticketek.com.au
