The East Pointers win Canadian JUNO Award

The East Pointers debut album Secret Victory took home the JUNO for Traditional Roots Album of the Year this weekend! The album released in October 2015 via Fontana North, makes traditional music that is accessible, modern, and the most fun thing on the planet to dance (and raise a pint) to.

Since forming in 2014, this trio consisting of Tim Chaisson (fiddle)Koady Chaisson (banjo) and Jake Charron (guitar), have not only received notable praise for their debut release, including the 2016 Canadian Folk Music Award for Ensemble of the Year, but have also been busy touring the globe and are currently on a nationwide tour of Australia. The band will return home for Canadian and US tour dates this summer that will include several festival appearances including Calgary Folk Festival, Milwaukee Irish Fest and more.

The trio are also up for an East Coast Music Award for 2017 Fans Choice Entertainer Of The Year. The awards will take place during East Coast Music Week later this month on April 27.
