Eighty-Six Festival announces Super Saturday

A celebration of grass-roots music and venues in Melbourne, new festival The Eighty-Six will present almost 24 hours of free gigs.

From 7am–5am Saturday, 28 October  2023, over two hundred of Victoria’s best musical acts will take over iconic spots along the 86 tram line on High Street from Westgarth to Preston .

Emerging and established performers will play free shows (including all-ages, family and seniors-friendly options) across 40+ venues, including theatres, record stores, bars, restaurants and bocce and bowls clubs.

A huge number of artists, industry professionals, and special international and interstate guests will curate and host Super Saturday parties, including: 3RRR, Milo Eastwood, Songlines, Northside, Enjoy Your Stay, Love Police, Wally Cheersquad, Sound Merch, and Press Play Presents among dozens of others.

Super Saturday venues include: Merri Creek Tavern, Shotkickers, Northcote Theatre, Thornbury Theatre, Croxton Bandroom, Moon Dog World, Wesley Anne, Thornbury Picture House, Open Studio, Northcote Social Club and more to come.
