Love Police Touring is pleased to announce that Americana singer-songwriter Eilen Jewell and her band will be back in Australia in March 2020 for 8 very special shows in support of her latest album Gypsy.
Last here in 2018 Eilen will play four dates in Victoria – March 19 at the Thornbury Theatre, March 20 at Meeniyan Town Hall, March 21 at Theatre Royal, Castlemaine and March 22 at Caravan Music Club – followed bydates at The Factory Theatre, Sydney on March 24, Lizotte’s, Newcastle March 25, The Outpost in Brisbane on March 26 and Mullum Ex-Services, Mullumbimby on March 27.

The reigning Queen of the Minor Key, Jewell leads a tight quartet that blends influences of surf-noir, early blues, classic country, folk, and 1960s era rock ’n’ roll. For well over a decade, they’ve toured relentlessly for legions of fans from Boston to Boise and Madrid to Melbourne, playing large festivals, theaters, rock clubs, and coffeehouses and have shared stages with the likes of Lucinda Williams, Loretta Lynn, Mavis Staples, Wanda Jackson, George Jones, Emmylou Harris, and Blind Boys of Alabama.
Gypsy is Jewel’s eighth album and her first of original material since 2015. The album has received rave reviews with American Songwriter calling it “yet another diverse, refined and intermittently provocative release from an experienced singer-songwriter who consistently provides the Americana goods with cleverness, class and style.” and Post To Wire stating “Gypsy is yet another resounding recording and songwriting success for Jewell.”
