Armed with an arsenal of harmonicas, a mess of foot percussion, and a road-worn Telecaster, Vancouver’s Shawn ‘The Harpoonist’ Hall and Matthew ‘The Axe Murderer’ Rogers are headed to Australian shores this November to embark on their maiden Australian tour.
The tenacious Canadian duo will visit our east coast for a select number of live dates, including appearances at the Mullum Music Festival and Queenscliff Music Festival, entwined between intimate club gigs at Play Bar in in Sydney on November 22 and Caravan Music Club, Melbourne on November 24.
Owning a sound distinctly of their own, The Harpoonist & The Axe Murderer is steeped in classical North American blues smothered in greasy, gritty soul and imbued with funk, sailing alongside a collective of influences ranging from the iconic songwriting of Willie Dixon to the boundary pushing musicianship of Jack White.
