Jackson Browne’s New Video Out Now. New Album for July.

Jackson Browne has released the video for ‘My Cleveland Heart,‘ his new single, which is out today everywhere. The single, co-written with his longtime guitarist Val McCallum, comes from Browne’s forthcoming album Downhill From Everywhere due out on July 23, worldwide through his label Inside Recordings.

The ‘My Cleveland Heart’ video was directed by Alissa Torvinen (Phoebe Bridgers, Pink, Melanie Martinez – K12) and includes a cameo by Phoebe Bridgers along with Browne’s bandmates Val McCallum, Greg Leisz, Jeff Young, Mauricio Lewak, Bob Glaub as well as Pete Thomas and Dave Faragher.

“What an honor to collaborate with Jackson,” said Torvinen on the making of the video. “His creativity is inspiring, not solely in music, but in everything he puts his energy into. We came up with a script for the video very serendipitously, and Phoebe joining us was a wonderful surprise. The way she received Jackson’s heart and the shot of her watching from the wings . . . perfectly dark and poetic and Phoebe.”

Nearly five decades since his debut LP, the songs on Jackson Browne’s new album Downhill From Everywhere sustain the soulful intimacy of his first release, combined with a power and wisdom gained from a life pursuing positive change.

“There’s a deep current of inclusion running through this record,” Browne says. “I think that idea of inclusion, of opening yourself up to people who are different than you – that’s the fundamental basis for any kind of understanding in this world.”

The album is available to pre-order now. Jackson Browne will be on tour this summer and fall with James Taylor. For more information, please visit www.jacksonbrowne.com
