Frontier Touring and Love Police have announced a tour by two time Grammy winner and master storyteller John Prine.
Prine was recently named Artist of The Year at the 17th annual Americana Honors & Awards, held at Nashville’s famous Ryman Auditorium, and yesterday landed a nomination for the USA’s Rock And Roll Hall of Fame.
It is the legendary songwriter’s first Australian tour since 1993 and he will head Down Under in celebration of his latest album, Tree Of Forgiveness.
Prine has been described as the “songwriter’s songwriter”, with everyone from Bruce Springsteen, John Denver and Johnny Cash to Norah Jones, Ben Harper and Bette Midler recording from his extensive back catalogue or performing alongside him.
