This July is proving to be a scorcher at Bird’s Basement with some of the world’s most in-demand international artists stopping by to perform.
Kicking off this month’s line-up is ‘the voice of phenomenal beauty’ (New York Times) Jane Monheit in collaboration with the Nicholas Payton Trio on July 5-10. Jane will illuminate the stage with her tribute show to Ella Fitzgerald.
Performing July 12-17, Joey DeFrancesco is a three-time Grammy nominee and an inductee into the inaugural Hammond Organ Hall of Fame. Joey is infamous for reviving the organ jazz genre, which was considered to be a dying music genre in the late 1980’s.
