The Melbourne weather turned on some beautiful sunshine for the 10th anniversary of Out on the Weekend, the Americana, alt country, country and western music festival held annually at Seaworks in Williamstown.
Shout-out to Hana & Jesse-Lee’s Bad Habits, James Ellis & The Jealous Guys, and The Smith & Western Jury who all pulled double-duty playing early and late sets.
Melbourne six-piece Sweet Talk whipped the crowd into a frenzy on the main stage, with standouts including “Superman”, the slower “Miller’s Bay” and “Warm Love”.
On the outside stage, the Andy Golledge Band ran through a short set that included “Blue”, the title track of their most recent album “Young Dumb and Wild”, a blistering “New Stamp” before closing with “Rescue Me”.
Finally headlining on the main stage were Hooray For The Riff Raff with a great set that drew heavily from their most recent album The Past Is Still Alive, including “Hawkmoon” and “Dynamo”.
