Guitar lovers, rejoice! The Melbourne Guitar Show is returning to Caufield Racecourse on August 5 & 6 with a lineup of international guitar legends to grace the stages and fill the ears of a keen audience. This may be their biggest year.
A multifaceted show, the guitar centred festival will be hosting a variety of performances and exhibitions surrounding all things guitar and guitar technology.
The festival’s lineup, which is presented by Triple M and Australian Musician, will this year be host to guitar greats Steve Hackett, Nick Johnston, and Alex Hutchings.
There will also be spotlight on some of Australia’s biggest names in the music and guitar world. Australian guitarists Lloyd Spiegel, Nick Charles, and Bob Spencer will be hosting demonstrations as well as performing, with more artists to soon be announced according to the release.
With performances and exhibitions, the Melbourne Guitar Show is shaping up to be a must-see event for guitar lovers.
“Not only will the 2017 MGS provide a hands-on chance to see, hear and play a broad range of the world’s favourite brands, it will also see exhibitors offering great show deals, plus an opportunity to get close to some hand-crafted, locally made instruments and epic guitar and gear collections,” the announcement read.
There is also a lot of support for the festival, with the announcement continuing, “The voice of the Australian music products industry, the Australian Music Association (AMA) will be teaming up with Australianmusician.com.au and presenting sponsors Triple M and Aon to present this year’s guitar-centric weekend.”
