Americana/Folk duo Minor Gold are back with “Hair Hang Down” the second single from their highly anticipated sophomore album Way to the Sun.

Directed and produced by their very own creative team, Calm Palms, the video takes full advantage of the raw, no-frills approach that comes with shooting on Super 8 film. Vocalists/guitarists Dan Parsons and Tracy McNeil explained the concept for their new video. “We wanted to strip everything down to the essentials—working with what we had to tell the story. It’s a perfect fit for the song’s message,” the band says. “We strapped ourselves to trees, jumped on trampolines, and danced in the streets in a sub-arctic Canadian spring—basically, we let ourselves be kids again,” the duo laughs.
Recorded in Los Angeles with the legendary Dan Horne (Mapache, Beachwood Sparks, Circles Around the Sun) “Hair Hang Down” combines elements of roots, folk/pop, and a Spanish street party vibe, creating a fresh and bold sound.
Minor Gold’s sophomore album Way to the Sun is due out July 25, 2025.
