The Mullum Music Festival has announced the winners of the 2017 Youth Mentorship Program.
The Youth Mentorship Program has been running for 8 years and supports young artists under the age of 21 by teaming them up with musicians from the festival lineup.
This year’s winners are:
Miel from Bellingen with mentor Husky (Band Category)
Ruby Gilbert from Brisbane with mentor Aine Tyrell (Singer Songwriter Category)
Amy Nelson from Sydney with mentor Kodi Twiner (Vocal Category)

The announcement elaborated on the competition:
“The winning young artists from each category are selected by their mentors. They each get a rehearsal session with their mentor, a 20-minute performance slot at the festival with their mentor backstage, the opportunity to watch their mentor perform from backstage and a weekend pass to the festival. Youth Mentorship performances are always a festival highlight.
