New Wagons EP, Need A Ride? Out June 26

Wagons are releasing what they call a “bountiful handful of frontier-pushing cosmic twang” that has been slow cooking since sessions in and following the recording of their previous album Songs From the Aftermath.  These new tunes have been bubbling gently, polished off in amongst the low, multicoloured glow of Henry Wagons’ Melbourne studio, during the pristine calm of social distancing.  Repeat listens will bear fruit, with hidden gems in every musical fold.

From the redemptive affirmation of ‘Time Heals All Wounds’ to the prog experimentation of ‘Flotation Man’inspired by sensual deprivation tanks, this is a true carnival ride, in the dark.  The EP also features Wagons much loved “iso” cover of Bob Dylan obscurity ‘To Be Alone with You’.

Need A Ride? confirms that the pioneering barrage, that forms the one-of-a-kind Wagons sound, ain’t coming from any ordinary country band.  Strap yourself in tight, and get ready for countdown.

The EP will be available to stream on all the usual digital corridors on
June 26, and will also be available alongside a new Wagons tea towel!!  A download of Need A Ride? will accompany the purchase of the artisan tea towel, with artwork by All Our Exes Live in Texas’s Hannah Crofts.
