Port Fairy Folk Festival is back for a beautiful year of vibrant music from around the world, bringing thousands of music lovers to its seaside destination of Port Fairy over the March long-weekend. The long running popular event today revealed its first artist line up for 2024 featuring a spectacular array of artists from America, Europe and Australia.
From across the seas we welcome one of the most prolific singer songwriters of the 1970s Laurel Canyon era right up until the present day: Graham Nash. As a founding member of both the Hollies and Crosby, Stills and Nash, is a two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee. Nash will launch his first solo headline tour of Australia and New Zealand spending two days in Port Fairy. Performing songs from across his sixty-year career, Nash will be joined on stage by his long-time musical partners, Shane Fontayne (guitar and vocals) and Todd Caldwell (keyboards and vocals).
Justin Rudge, Port Fairy Folk Festival Program Director said this year’s line-up begins with a real celebration of music from around the world: ‘We are honoured to have an icon such as Graham Nash perform at our Festival. Our audiences will be drawn to his storytelling and song which I am sure can be found in many record collections around the world. This first line up represents contemporary and classic folk as told through some of the greatest singer songwriters of today and we are so excited to be sharing this music with music lovers and the community of Port Fairy’.
Joining Nash will be fellow Americans Cam Cole and The SongBirds featuring Dannielle De Andrea, Erica Canales and Gaby Moreno. Gaby will also perform her solo work during the Festival.
Making their Folkie debut is Canada’s Quote The Raven, Norway’s Gangar, Scotland’s Gnoss, Finland’s Teho and Irish singer songwriter Lorraine Nash. Lorraine is joined by Ireland’s Daoirí Farrell who returns to the Festival after wowing the crowds in 2019.
Celebrating the extraordinary music within our shores, Port Fairy Folk Festival welcomes Alice Skye, Sarah Blasko, and Sons of the East.
