Become is taken from Sabrina Lawrie’s debut LP ‘Hush The Mountain’ out on Brisbane Indie label Pig City Records. This song is set to an hypnotic tribal drum with hopeful and questioning lyrics on self belief, human potential and a curiosity about the disconnection of society with nature. She wrote and co-produced this track with Darek Mudge at The Shed in Brisbane as well as performing all of the instruments and vocals on the recording. The making of Lawrie’s debut album ‘Hush The Mountain’ was a remarkable journey – more than five years to complete – the diligence in the songwriting and production resulted in glowing praise from all areas of the music industry. Most recently, the record was nominated for The Triffid’s 2017 QLD Album of The Year alongside Bernard Fanning and Busby Marou and we also saw Lawrie shortlisted as a finalist for QLD’s prestigious Grant McLennan Fellowship.
