Sahara Beck releases the official music video for ‘Tapping On The Roof’, the third single to be lifted off her critically acclaimed second album PANACEA. The 20-year-old, 3 x QMA winning singer-songwriter from the Sunshine Coast will also be hitting the road this week alongside The Creases in support of Ball Park Music, who are embarking on their massive and now expanded national album tour across seven states. Beck has also added a series of summer festival dates to her hectic touring schedule including Mullum Music Festival, Jungle Love Music Festival as well as Port Macquarie Festival of the Sun.
Says Beck of the clip: “I’ve always been a huge fan of Quentin Tarantino so when we were creating the idea for the ‘Tapping on the Roof’ music video Matt Jeston (Director) came up with the idea that we roughly base the video on the torture scene from Reservoir Dogs. It’s such a great movie and I’m so happy that I get to pay my respects to it through my own art. We filmed the video on location at Leftys Old Time Music Hall in Brisbane, which was aesthetically perfect for the vibe we were going for. We all had so much fun acting and dressing up for our roles but did have to wrap up a little early to clean all the fake blood off the dance floor!”
The video premiered via Tone Deaf who stated “filmed at the Brisbane’s Lefty’s Old Time Music Hall, which created the perfect backdrop to her uniquely gorgeous track, the click-clack of percussion echoing its title perfectly. The Tarantino influence definitely doesn’t end at the video either, as ‘Tapping On The Roof’ wouldn’t feel at all out of place on a Kill Bill soundtrack.”
