Melbourne singer songwriter Sunny Hawkings has announced the release of his debut album ‘Sheets of Life’ a diverse blend of indie folk, pop rock and ambient instrumentals.
Sunny a finalist in the 2015 Telstra Road To Discovery has teamed up with ex The Frames guitarist and Grammy winning David Odlum (Glen Hansard, Luka Bloom, Paloma Faith) at his amazing Black Box Studio in France along with his brother Karl (The Frames, The Swell Season) and Marc Staley.
Sunny and Co. all producers in their own right as well as fantastic musicians came together from all parts of the globe to collaborate on Sunny’s songs and have created an album full of beautiful melodies, layered vocals, big grooves and golden guitar riffs all beautifully mixed by David Odlum.
Already receiving national rotation on ABC Local for his song Little Cars, Sunny’s songwriting is being appreciated all over the country at the moment.
