WOMADelaide have announced that Thievery Corporation will be joining the festival lineup in 2018.
Thievery Corporations have been added to an already impressive lineup which includes Anoushka Shankar, Adrian Sherwood, and Dan Sultan to name a few.
The announcement elaborated on the addition to the lineup:
Few musical artists are as diverse as ‘The Thieves’, moving with spectacular ease from space rock to hip-hop, Indian trip-hop, dub, French torch songs and shoe-gazer bliss. Their tenth studio album, The Temple of I & I, realised in February 2017, a departure from previous albums, delves deep into the rich and warm musical culture of Jamaica.
Thievery Corporation, with full-band, will perform at WOMADelaide 2018 alongside an already sensational lineup of artists, including Anoushka Shankar, with whom they collaborated on the track Mandala on the album Radio Retaliation and also on Beloved for their Versions album.
WOMADelaide will be held from March 9-12, 2018.
