Guitarist Tommy Emmanuel has announced that he will be touring Australia in April with dobro maestro Jerry Douglas.
Their tour will kick off at the Cairns Performing Arts Centre on April 12 and will take in eight dates before finishing at the Sydney Opera House on April 21. The tour will also include a date at Bluesfest on April 20.
“I am VERY excited to announce that I will be heading back to Australia in April, and I’ll be bringing along the Dobro master Jerry Douglas with me,” said Emmanuel. “I can’t wait to share what Jerry and I do in my homeland. This will be Jerry’s first trip to Australia, so let’s give him a warm welcome! Jerry will play solo, I’ll play solo, and then we’ll tear it up together! We’ll be making stops in Carins City, Townsville, Mackay, Mandurah, Perth, Melbourne, and Sydney. I am also looking forward to performing at the 30th Byron Bay Bluesfest.‘
