UK singer songwriter and actress Marianne Faithfull has passed away aged 78.
Rhythms Andy Hughes spoke to Faithfull a few years ago to promote the re-release of late career highpoint Kissing’ Time, with the singer showing her zest for creativity still remained, “I absolutely love writing songs and working with musicians and collaborators in the studio, and that has increased with the experience of doing it more and more. I didn’t really love writing and making music when I was younger in the way that I do now. It’s one of the better results of growing older.”
A spokesperson announced “It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of the singer, songwriter and actress Marianne Faithfull. Marianne passed away peacefully in London today, in the company of her loving family. She will be dearly missed.”
