Wilco front man Jeff Tweedy has announced his fifth solo effort, a triple(!) album with an expansive tracklist of 30 new songs, including early fan favorites “Feel Free,” “Enough” and “Lou Reed Was My Babysitter.” Twilight Override is out worldwide (vinyl, CD, digital) September 26, 2025 via dBpm Records and Sony Music.
In Twilight Override, Tweedy presents three records that stand alone but together tell a story of the past, present and future. The album includes performances by fellow Chicago musicians and frequent collaborators, Spencer Tweedy, Sammy Tweedy, James Elkington, Sima Cunningham, Macie Stewart and Liam Kazar. Choral vocals are highlighted across the work and shine on songs such as “One Tiny Flower,” “Cry Baby Cry,” and “New Orleans”.
Twilight Override was recorded over the past two years, featuring production by Tweedy himself at his Chicago studio, The Loft. Engineering and mixing by Tom Schick. Mastering by Stephen Marsh. Design by Lawrence Azerrad. Photos by Shervin Lainez.
A four-track sampler from the record has been released already, including“One Tiny Flower,” “Out In The Dark,” “Stray Cats in Spain,” and the radio single “Enough”.
Not to be out-done The Autumn Defense, the indie folk-rock group led by longtime Wilco members Pat Sansone and John Stirratt, have announced plans to release their first album in more than 11 years. Here and Nowhere, which is the band’s sixth studio effort, is due out on October 10. The plaintive Sansone-penned opening track and lead single “The Ones” is out now
